 Guided Meditation and Imagery

 

 

A wonderfully delightful way to meditate. You simply sit or recline in your favorite position and listen to an enchanting voice ( usually with music in the background) and allow yourself to go on a guided journey. Your guide may have you focus on your breath or on something else to begin. You will be guided to enter a very deeply relaxed  meditative state. This is an excellent way for people who are new to meditation to experience the benefits that meditation can bring. Often when people first begin to try meditation they get frustrated because thoughts are constantly popping into their heads. They have a hard time controling the constant "chatter". Even experienced meditators experience this from time to time. With a guided meditation you have a voice to cncentrate on. If your guide is good you will find that soon you do not even hear the voice as you drift into a deep state of relaxation. A guided meditation can last from just a few minutes to as long as an hour. Most meditations are from 10 to 30 minutes. There are many guided meditation CD's available. You have to find the one that is right for you.
